97.Don’t be insane

Proverb 8:5

O ye simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart.

Today’s wisdom from the past is a call out to all the people who are ignorant of wisdom and understanding. It is begging them to listen. As time goes on and on human beings seem to keep making similar mistakes. I was listening to a short video clip on Instagram titled Spirko’s 3rd law of life-“Everything in the universe is a recurrent cycle. If you decide to listen to it be warned it has strong language. I am grown up enough to listen to it and take the meaning and not be butt hurt by the words. Be warned you may not be. Why do people keep making the same mistakes over and over and over and over? I am not totally sure, but I think it has to do with pride, the deadliest sin. You know that it has been done many times before and has failed, but you think that you are better and can make it work. Don’t make the same mistakes again and again.

“From the standpoint of the psychology of personal constructs we may define a disorder as any personal construction which is used repeatedly in spite of consistent invalidation.”

  1. Have you heard of mentalizing? If you have a minute to read an article on it, I think it could give an answer to that question. The idea of mentalizing is studied as an extension of our attachment styles. It talks about how we understand others actions vs. our own.

  2. I think a lot of our day to errors ate tied to the same phenomenon that causes muscle memory. But instead of the motor nerves it’s the processing nerves that are effected. It’s the fix. You have to consciously change your thought process over and over until you train yourself to behave differently.
