222. “Don’t get rich by wronging”

Proverbs 28:6

“It’s better to be poor and live right, than to be rich and dishonest”

My Grandfather was a good man. Not just in my eyes but in a lot of other people’s opinions also. He was Christian man and was at Sunday School and Sunday service most every Sunday. He had a lot of well-off friends who died long before him. He lived to 91years. I named my youngest son after him.
He always encouraged us to do right. He would tell us to choose our friends wisely. He would tell us, “Birds of a feather flock together”. This means you are who you associate with.

One important thing we would practice is he always paid what was owed to others. I know of rich people who fly around in jets these days and are praised, “How great this man is”, people say. He still owes common folk money who worked for him. Some lost a lot.

I believe one day we all will stand before the Almighty and answer for trespasses. Matthew 19:23-24 tells us, “Jesus said to his disciples, “It’s terribly hard for rich people to get into the kingdom of heaven! In fact, it’s easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to get into God’s kingdom.”

221. Listen, learn, & Live

Proverbs 27:3

“Stones and sand are heavy, but trouble caused by a fool is a much heavier load.”

“If you are speaking you are only stating what you already know. We as humans also tend to listen so we can reply and not to learn. We also have a problem listening to our inner wisdom that will most times keep us out of trouble.
Start listening now. The best time to have listen was yesterday. The next best time to start listening is now.

220. At least one chance

Proverbs 26:11

“Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness.”

When ever our fellow man falls we should help them up at least once. If they do it again we still need to help them but may be our tactics should be different the next time. There is a difference in helping and enabling. Sometimes a supervised fall to rock bottom is what is needed to help them. If you enable someone to destroy them self to long then their may not be anything that can be done in to help them.

219. To chafe makes waste

Proverbs: 25:23

“As surely as rain blows in from the north, anger is caused by cruel words.”

We should use our language for good whenever we can. Honesty can chafe but it doesn’t have to every time. When ever we want someone to do things in a certain way, we shouldn’t criticize them when they do it wrong. We should reward when it is done right.

218. What about the death penalty?

Suggested Reading Matthew 23:29-36

In this passage Jesus tells us that we will be held guilty for the sins of our fathers of the past if we don’t change our ways.

Remember that just because it is legal does not make it right. Now we must obey the law of the land or we will be killed hear in Good old America. We could serve on a jury and still be with in GOD’s teaching. We are not judging them we are deciding if they broke the law. The judgement needs to come from the victim. If there is no victim, then there is no judging to be done. In the case of murder, GODs law tells us that it should be decided by a council of peers if it was in fact murder. We should stop there. It should be up to the victim’s family if the person should be punished. What if there is no family? In the case of murder there is always a victim that is left behind. It could be a friends, It could be a poor person that was fed by the one who was murdered.

Matthew 7:1-2 CEV tells us, “ Don’t condemn others, and God won’t condemn you. 2 God will be as hard on you as you are on others! He will treat you exactly as you treat them.”

217. Was Jesus and anarchist?

Suggested reading: Matthew 23:1-14 CEV

Well if you apply the teachings of the bible to the earthly people then yes he was. If you are a Christian then you know who your master LORD and savior is and that is all you need.

In these times, the church also governed and would have people punished and even put to death. Jesus taught us that we should listen to these people because they were quoting the bible. If someone reads you scripture and it is legit then yes, you listen to it. At the same time, he commanded that we don’t do what they do. Have you ever heard that just because it is legal it doesn’t make it right? There is so much in the world to today that is legal but it is not right. When our brothers and sisters fail and there is no victims, we put them in cages like wild animals and then expect them to become better people. We even put them in cages for profit. Yes, there are private corporations out there that profit from us putting people in cages. As a parent if my child acts up and I put them in a cage, then the Gooberment will come and put me in a cage. Crazy if you really think about it.
There is a lot of government worship going on these days. Do you worship the government? Do you vote and expect them to help you out when you fail? Do you vote and expect them to apply your will to other people who are not hurting you?

Remember Jesus said in Matthew 10:34 “Don’t think I came to bring peace to the earth! I came to bring trouble not peace”.

Just because it is legal doesn’t make it right. And yes, I believe Jesus was an anarchist. You are told to obey the law of the corrupt land, as long as it doesn’t go against the LORD’s teaching so that you don’t get killed. If you are dead, it is hard to spread the word. Every law of this land (USA) can get you killed so tread lightly.

216. The two most important rules for life.

Suggested reading Mathew 22:34-40 CEV

I woke at 0158 last night and this was on my mind.

During this section of the bible Jesus was being tested and tried by the church state. They wanted to kill him badly because he always called them out and made them look bad. They asked him what the most important commandment is. Of course, anyone would have said, “Love the Lord your God with all of your heart, soul, and mind”, If not they would have killed him for going against scripture. The second one was, “love others as you love yourself”.

If we could just adhere to two these two commandments we would live in a society that would be a complete utopia. Everyone doing what they do. Not hurting others. Looking at each other as loved ones. When you see your loved ones fall and hurt themselves do you not jump up and help them up? Yes, you would even if it is tough love pushing them to get up and pull them selves together. If your loved one was hungry would you not give them some food?

In the lord’s prayer we pray, “Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in Heaven.” GOD’s will is, for us to want to love GOD. His second want is for us to love each other. The kingdom will not come until we learn to love each other.
Amen

215. Separate the wheat from the chaff.

Proverbs 19:6
“Many will intreat the favour of the prince: and every man is a friend to him that giveth gifts.”

Everyone knows the way to get more friends is to give more good gifts. We all know that if you quit giving the gifts that a lot of them go away. This works for kind words also. Have you ever tried being completely honest with a friend when you feel uncomfortable about doing it?

A true friend should be honest with the ones he cares for. If they care for you, they will except what ever you tell them and thank you for the help. If they get mad and end the friendship then you know it wasn’t real, especially if they stay away after cooling off.

Start today separating the weeds from your harvest in life. Separate the wheat from the chaff.

214. Quit doing what is wrong

Proverbs 8:36

“But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death”

I believe we have 2 forms of wisdom in our lives. The first one is intuition. The second is learning from past mistakes.
If we don’t listen to our guts and proceed with caution we are making ourselves available to be taken advantage of or even hurt.
If we don’t learn from our past mistakes, then that is just being willfully stupid

213. Wait & be deceived not.

Proverbs 7:23
“Till a dart strike through his liver; as a bird hasteth to the snare, and knoweth not that it is for his life.”

People in this life will try their hardest to get over on you. When buying things don’t pull the trigger to quickly unless you absolutely know that it is a good deal. How would you know if something is a good deal? If you have been waiting and researching instead of impulse buying.
