242.Advice from Christ (Do it all right and get yourself together)

Matthew 5:10

“God bless those people who are treated badly for doing right. They belong to the kingdom of heaven.”

So, what kind of blessing can you have for doing right, when the world seems to reward that which is done wrong?

First, I’ll answer what doing right is:

Loving GOD with all of your heart.

Loving others as you love yourself.

Taking care of yourself (GODS TEMPLE) It is getting yourself together and when you have a surplus of right above that then you give it to others. Yes, this road of right is not as easy one to follow, but in time it will be the easiest.

Today we see so many shortcuts especially the short cut of selling yourself into the slavery of debt.

I could go on and on about what living right is but I will close with one that I feel led to close with that has to do with living right.

“Matthew 26:52” But Jesus told him, “Put your sword away. Anyone who lives by fighting will die by fighting.” So many people speak of revolution today without knowing the price of it. They speak of doing it for their children’s children but know not if their children’s children’s blood will be the payment for this revolution. Be careful what you ask for you may get what you ask.

241. The evil ones

Proverbs 28:4

“Lawbreakers praise criminals, but law-abiding citizens always oppose them.”

This one will really make you think. I now people who have hurt people to et ahead. I mean hurt a lot of people. Then you see people who you know are good people praising how great that person who you know for a fact is bad.

I reckon time will have to do its thing on this one to find out what is what.

240. Detoxify

Proverbs 27:3

“Stones and sand are heavy, but trouble caused by a fool is a much heavier load.

If there is something or someone in your life that is causing grief, then you need to evaluate how you are handling it. These things can cause an aching down in your bones and make you sick. It is is something, then get rid of it as fast as you can.

If it is someone, then it needs to be handled differently. Try to help the person to help themselves. If this cannot be done, then you need to distance yourself from them.

You can love and be kind to people without them destroying you.

239. Just do it.

Proverbs 26:15

“Some of us are so lazy that we won’t lift a hand to feed ourselves.”

If you want to live you must do something. We can not just sit and wait for someone else to do it for us. We can pray for guidance, but we must do something. We can pray for GOD’S hand to help us, we must do something.

The bible tells us that, “THAT FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD”. This means you must do.

238. Who has your best interest in mind.

Proverbs 25:12

“Listening to good advice is worth much more than jewelry made of gold.”

You must determine what is good advice. There are those who love you so much and they only tell you what you want to hear. Even though they love you they may have their own interest in mind. They may look up to you and love you so much that no matter they will always agree with what you want. There are times when what you want is brought on by your emotional state at the time. Decisions should not be made by emotions.

There are also others whose best interest is for you to succeed. They think about things before they give you advice. These are the kind of people who are not influence by jealousy or greed. They just like being around you. They will tell you that you are being a horse’s rear when you are. They don’t want to see you get beat up by someone else so they tell you to stop what you are doing.

237. Advice from Christ (Make peace)

Suggested Reading Matthew 5:9

How hard is it for us to make peace? I find it hard on a daily basis. Jealousy rears its ugly head from time to time. People who do things differently give you advice and it makes you angry. Don’t even mention traffic.  It is hard to just be peaceful and use the GOD given opportunity to except and use the situation for something good.

Do your best this week to make every situation you get into something of benefit if possible. If needed pray in times when you just can’t be peaceful and keep quiet.

237. Live right live nice.

Proverbs 21:6

“Cheating to get rich is a foolish dream and no less than suicide.

We should always live in a way that is right by others. There will be times that we are taken advantage of by other. We should learn from these instances. Retaliation will not get us anywhere. Remember what Jesus said to one of his followers in the Garden while he was being arrested. He said, “If you live by fighting you will die by fighting.

If we live and gain wealth in the wrong way it will never be enough. There will always be someone waiting in the shadows to take what you have from you. We should live right and help others. By helping others, you are gaining wealth that cannot ever be taken from you.

236. Self-Reliance for the worldly things

Proverbs 20:6

“There are many who say, “You can trust me!” But can they be trusted?

A lot of people may look at this blog and think, “Is he advocating for spiritual self-reliance, shouldn’t we rely on GOD for our daily bread?”

For things that are of this world we need to rely on ourselves and not other people. Just like todays proverb questions, “can they be trusted?” This does not mean that we shouldn’t invoke the aid of GOD for help in worldy matters. We should in deed ask for help. We must also do something about it. In James 2:14 it ask us; My friends, what good is it to say you have faith, when you don’t do anything to show you really have faith?

God is always what we can rely on. God was here before and will be here after. Start everyday by praying that GOD will bestow upon you the wisdom to make each day fruitful for you and for those who know you.

235. Save it for later.

Proverbs 19:1

“Its better to be poor and live right than to be a stupid liar”.

O if we would only be satisfied with enough how much better off would we be? I am guilty of wanting more as are most people. It is human/animal nature to want excess. We humans should always keep the future in mind also. “Boast not today of the future for we no not what another day may bring forth”-unknown. We as humans can for see future events. If we learn from past mistakes, then we can better prepare for the future.

If we have excess now we should live still as the poor. We can take that excess and store it for the future when it will be needed. This not only applies food or money, but also knowledge.
