“You destroy yourself by being cruel and violent and refusing to live right.”
Violence no matter how perceived will destroy the one committing it and the one receiving it. Violence breeds violence. Even if if the said violence is for the perceived good by the masses.
I was listening to a the anarcochristian podcast this morning and I heard a clip from the television show Mash. Mash ran from 1972-1973 and was a comedy about the Korean War. Ill write out the clip:
??: Everyone knows wars hell
Hawkeye: War isn’t hell war is war and hell is hell and of the 2 war is a lot worse
Father: How do you figure that Hawkeye?
Hawkeye: Easy father who goes to hell?
Father: Sinners I believe
Hawkeye: Exactly there are no innocent bystanders in hell. War is chocked full of them. Little kids, cripples, and little old ladies. Accept for the brass just about everyone involved is an innocent bystander.
Yes, even the soldiers who were sent there, by the state, are innocent bystanders.
Jesus said, “Love thy neighbor as you would love yourself and if your neighbor strikes you then offer the other cheek for them to strike also”. Jesus never said for us to go kill those who disagree with us.
Most gracious heavenly father forgive the ones who are deceived into committing reprehensible acts for the state, for they know not what they do is wrong and often they think it is good. Amen
