Say unto wisdom, Thou art my sister; and call understanding thy kinswoman:
That they may keep thee from the strange woman, from the stranger which flattereth with her words.
This could be looked at in a few different ways. The literal where it tells you to listen to the wisdom of the most high and of those who came before you and to cling to the wisdom and to not get caught up with another man’s wife.
We can also apply this wisdom to our daily lives. How many times to we set goals for ourselves and then get pulled off track by someone or something. I quit smoking a few years back and at work I had my daily smoking friends. At first, they would still come by and grab me to go for a smoke. As time went on and I still didn’t smoke they quit coming by to get me. I even would tell them, “hey come by and get me for a smoke I enjoy the conversations”. Still they eventually stopped. It seems evident now I was just someone to smoke with.
Keep your life on track. Commune with those who have your best interest at heart and who wish for you to succeed. This may be your immediate family.
